can one use coconut oil instead of jojoba/grape seed and sunflower oil? and i have a bar of 100% natural, homemade, olive oil based soap – is that replaceable with the castile soap, if melted?

I want to make my own shampoo and add olive leaf and nettle leaf to it but I don't know what kind of olive leaf or nettle leaf to use.  I can use them in extract form without alcohol but I was told there are still trace amounts of  alcohol (1% – 2%) and that the alcohol would be very drying.  If I added aloe vera or some other moisturizer wouldn't that take care of the problem?  I could also buy the nettle leaf and olive leaf in powder form and cook them to form a liquid but I would rather use the liquid extract since it would be a lot easier.

the first recipe works really well for those of us with hair so thick you need a fire hose to rinse all the shampoo out. also the "lightening" version doesn't work so well on hair that is more grey than brown…lol…that is a job best left to a professional 😉
